First Chainsaw Man Anime Trailer Coming This June!

To say we're excited for the anime adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man manga would be a massive understatement. There hasn't been much in the way of news since it was first announced, though, and we certainly haven't seen any footage yet. That's set to change soon, because anime studio MAPPA announced plans to reveal the first trailer during its upcoming 10th anniversary stage event.

The MAPPA STAGE 2021 -10th Anniversary- event goes down in Japan on June 27, with guests for the Chainsaw Man talk stage including manga editor Shihei Rin and MAPPA president Manabu Otsuka.

Other titles that will be featured during the event include JUJUTSU KAISEN, Attack on Titan Final Season, ZOMBIE LAND SAGA REVENGE, Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachiYasuke, and RE-MAIN. Look, MAPPA stays busy.

Fujimoto recently concluded the first part of the Chainsaw Man manga in December, with a second coming at some point in the future to the digital Shonen Jump+ service. Here's how VIZ Media describes the series:

Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!
