An updated version of Final Fantasy VII Remake was recently revealed for PlayStation 5, and it will be offered as either a standalone purchase or a free upgrade to those who already bought the original release when it launches worldwide on June 10. Ahead of that, Square Enix came through with an extended version of the trailer to show off all of the PS5 enhancements.
On top of a new story addition starring Yuffie as a playable character, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade comes packing improved load times, textures, lighting, background environments, and more. There's also a photo mode, as well as the ability to switch between graphics and performance modes depending on how you want to experience the visuals and gameplay.
While that PS4 to PS5 upgrade is free, original Remake owners will still need to pony up to purchase the Yuffie episode separately if they want the newest content from the adventure. For a closer look at what's on the very near horizon, check out the extended trailer in both English and Japanese below.
