An anime has officially been revealed for Komi Can't Communicate! Based on the manga by Tomohito Oda, the adaptation is set to premiere this October, and a teaser visual and trailer made their way online along with more info on the cast and staff.
Here's the debut promo:
Ayumu Watanabe (Mysterious Girlfriend X) is chief director on this one, with Kazuki Kawagoe (Beyblade Burst episode director) as director and Deko Akao (Noragami) as series composition writer for the OLM (Pokémon) production.
The adaptation stars Aoi Koga (Kaguya in KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR) as Shouko Komi, Gakuto Kajiwara (Asta in Black Clover) as Hitohito Tadano, and Rie Murakawa (Ram in Re:ZERO) as Najimi Osana.
VIZ Media publishes the manga in English and describes it:
Timid Tadano is a total wallflower, and that’s just the way he likes it. But all that changes when he finds himself alone in a classroom on the first day of high school with the legendary Komi. He quickly realizes she isn’t aloof—she’s just super awkward. Now he’s made it his mission to help her on her quest to make 100 friends!
