New Madoka Magica Anime Movie Announced!
2021 marks the 10th anniversary of the magical girl anime known as Puella Magi Madoka Magica. While this much-loved franchise got a sequel film in 2013 with movie -Rebellion-, things on the Madoka Magica front have been pretty quiet lately… until now!
During a 10th anniversary Madoka event this weekend in Japan, a new movie set to continue the story was announced and the first teaser trailer for Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten. Take a look below!
The new film will feature the return of key staff from Rebellion, including screenwriter Gen Urobuchi, head director Akiyuki Shinbo, and character designer Ume Aoki, along with the original voice actors. What is unknown at this point is the actual release date Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgis no Kaiten but look for updates soon! In the meantime, here's the first key visual.
