Persona Series Celebrates 25 Years with New Project Teases

This September kicks off a full year of 25th anniversary celebrations for the Persona series of games, and it looks like Atlus has a lot going on to mark the occasion. An anniversary website is now open, and so far seven projects are being teased for announcement over the next year of festivities.

There aren't any specifics as to what those projects are yet, but they'll include events, new merchandise, special collaborations, and of course some information on the next game (or games?) to come. All we can do is speculate on that last bit for the time being, because it could be a new entry in the mainline Persona series or something else entirely.

All we know right now is that the remainder of 2021 and next year will be big for Atlus and Persona. The fun begins on September 20—the official 25th anniversary of the first game in the Persona series, which launched on PlayStation back in 1996—and will run until Fall 2022.

While we wait for more details, some of the anniversary merch is already up for pre-order via the Atlus online shop and Animate, with a release to follow on September 18.
