First Tokyo Mew Mew New Anime Teaser Has Arrived

It's time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi's Tokyo Mew Mew manga in style. A new anime adaptation—fittingly titled Tokyo Mew Mew New—is on the way to Japan in 2022, and this week saw the debut of the first teaser trailer and key visual.

The Tokyo Mew Mew New anime is also getting a big name on music, with Yasuharu Takanashi handling that aspect of the production. Takanashi is known for series ranging from Naruto Shippuden to Sailor Moon Crystal and beyond, so fans can look forward to some quality tunes throughout.

Takahiro Natori (Cannon Busters) is directing Tokyo Mew Mew New, with Yuka Yamada (Black Butler) on series composition and Satoshi Ishino (Date A Live) on character designs for the Yumeta Company x Graphinica production.
