Amazing. One of the best varsity jacket I've owned. It doesn't even look like one too so it fits many looks. Why ppl can review w/o having purchased the jacket, idk. Sizing, I can see some issues if one not used to varsity style, but that doesn't = low review IMO. Quality is superb; it's thick, the wool/poly blend is seamless and the quilted lining makes it super warm. Good. There seems to be extra material in arms and bottom where one could get it altered. SO patches are well made texture very visible. Some loose threads, but normal easily cut. The faux leather looks good; how will it hold up idk, seems nice though. Now, size wise, YES, it may run "small" for a few reasons...
First, a classic varsity fit should be snug in chest but loose enough for something underneath; and length not much longer below belt but right at it. That is shorter then many are used to these days where many wear things oversized, not my style, BUT I have odd proportions; tall, longer torso and longer arms. Few jackets fit me well all over. But this is near perfect, a little snug, arms are oddly perfect length with cuffs. Now for reasons below, it could be slightly larger for me, but I know sizing up would feel slightly too big and I prefer it more snug.
BUTTONED UP ISSUES (just means for most to size up) The issue is the bottom waist of jacket has no flex- the ribbed bottom has flex for days but not where it's seamed into lining - so it constricts around waist. Due to that you may want to size up. I'm still skinny enough (for now lol) where I am fine it just rises up slightly compared to when unbuttoned. This is MY ONLY BIGGEST ISSUE and one I think most will find. BUT the inner lining there has extra material that one can alter to widen. (dont quote me on this.)
Again, quality is amazing, every part of it. Again, they size for classic/slim varsity fit; buttoned is tight due to waist stitching BUT for style, quality, feel it is a catch!
