Miura first launched the Berserk manga in Hakusensha's Monthly Animal House magazine back in 1989, following the publication of a one-shot in Monthly Comicomi in 1988. The 40th volume, pictured below, launched in Japan in 2018 and in North America in 2019, and the Berserk manga continued off and on in the pages of Young Animal magazine.
Our thoughts go out to all those who knew Miura-sensei and those who followed his work over the years. He will be missed.
