Girlfriend, Girlfriend Anime Set to Debut on July 2
Hiroyuki's Girlfriend, Girlfriend—AKA Kanojo mo Kanojo—manga is making the leap to the small screen with an upcoming TV anime adaptation. According to the latest update from the official website, the series is now set to debut in Japan on July 2 via the Animeism block on MBS and TBS, with later airings that night to follow on BS-TBS.
Produced by Tezuka Productions, the Girlfriend, Girlfriend anime is directed by Satoshi Kuwabara (The Quintessential Quintuplets), with Keiichiro Ochi (also from The Quintessential Quintuplets) on scripts and Akiko Toyoda (Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions) handling character designs and chief animation direction.
Junya Enoki stars in the anime as Naoya Mukai alongside Ayane Sakura as Saki Saki, Azumi Waki as Nagisa Minase, Ayana Taketatsu as Rika Hoshizaki, and Rie Takahashi as Shino Kiryu. Check out the visual below while we wait for this one to arrive.
