Higurashi: When They Cry is a decades old visual novel and game franchise that first made the move to anime back in 2006. The sequels and spin-offs have come fast and furious since then, with the latest iteration being the Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU TV series, which debuted last summer.
Now, the atmospheric and mystery return for a second season called Higurashi: When They Cry – SOTSU, which Funimation is set to begin streaming in July, 2021. Here’s their announcement and trailer!
