Bandai Namco's Scarlet Nexus Game Inspires Anime from Sunrise
Bandai Namco Entertainment's Scarlet Nexus game already looked pretty darn anime when it was first announced, but now it's going the extra mile and actually inspiring an anime series. Shortly after the game launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, an anime from Sunrise will follow this summer.
Here's a trailer:
Funimation already announced plans to simulcast the series, so folks in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom and Ireland will get to check it out as it airs. AnimeLab is handling streaming in Australia and New Zealand, and Wakanim has it locked down for Russia, France, Germany, and Scandinavia.
Funimation described the series:
Solar calendar year 2020: grotesque organisms called Others have begun eating people. To take down this new enemy, the Other Suppression Force is formed. Saved by this elite team as a child, psychokinetic Yuito withstands the training to enlist. On the other hand, prodigy Kasane was scouted for her abilities. But Kasane’s dreams tell her strange things, dragging the two into an unavoidable fate.
And showed off a key visual:
If you're curious about how the game is shaping up, the latest trailer focuses on one of the protagonists, Kasane Randall.
