Hikaru Utada to Sing To Your Eternity Anime's Opening Theme
Pop superstar Hikaru Utada has left a big mark in both anime and games, from her unforgettable Kingdom Hearts songs to the upcoming theme song for the long-awaited fourth and final Evangelion movie. Now she's set to kick off a TV anime for the first time in her career with the OP theme for the To Your Eternity anime, which adapts the manga by A Silent Voice creator Yoshitoki Oima when it premieres on April 12.
While we don't have a sample of the song, yet, it will be titled "PINK BLOOD."
The To Your Eternity anime will stream on Crunchyroll sometime after it airs in Japan. Masahiko Murata (NARUTO Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals) is directing the adaptation, with Shinzo Fujita (Future Card Buddyfight X) on series composition and Koji Yabuno (Space Brothers) on character designs for the Brain's Base (In/Spectre) production.
Kodansha publishes the manga in English both physically and digitally, with simulpub chapters available on Crunchyroll. Here's the official synopsis:
A lonely boy wandering the Arctic regions of North America meets a wolf, and the two become fast friends, depending on each other to survive the harsh environment. But the boy has a history, and the wolf is more than meets the eye as well…
