Hikaru Utada's Music Video for the New Evangelion Movie Has Arrived
After many delays and setbacks, Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time finally opened yesterday in movie theaters across Japan!
While reviews and viewer reactions to the final Rebuild of Evangelion film are still coming in fast and furious, now’s a good time to chill out with the official theme song, “One Last Kiss”, by J-pop superstar Hikaru Utada.
The official music video premiered on YouTube yesterday to coincide with the release date of the new Evangelion movie. And although it doesn’t contain any anime footage, Utada’s video was helmed by none other than Hideaki Anno, the writer-director of Evangelion himself!
Hikaru Utada's “One Last Kiss” is being released as both a CD (Shinji cover) and a vinyl LP (Rei cover) containing various remixes and bonus tracks.
