One Piece Celebrates 100 Manga Volumes with Taxi Art in Japan

Later this year, another major milestone is on the way for Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga. The series' 100th volume is set to arrive at some point in 2021, following the debut of volume 99 on June 4. To get everyone ready for triple digits, a new campaign is on the way to taxis throughout Tokyo.

Yep, you read that right. Thanks to a collaboration with THE TOKYO MOBILITY GALLERY Canvas, taxis will be sporting a total of 100 iconic scenes from the One Piece manga. Some will bring up fond memories, while others may make fans shed a tear or two. Either way, it should be cool to see some of the most famous moments from the series zipping around town.

The collaboration kicks off on May 31—just a few days before the release of volume 99—and the artwork has been revealed ahead of that.
