The continuation of the Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon anime was previously lined up for a fall premiere, and now we have a start date. The saga Rumiko Takahashi started with fan-favorite series Inuyasha will officially carry on when Yashahime: Princess Half Demon part two kicks off in Japan on October 2.
The official website for the series also announced the opening theme song, which will have NEWS performing "BURN." To mark the occasion, the single was released on CD in Japan today.
The first season of Yashahime came to a close back in March and streamed on Funimation and Crunchyroll. Here's how the latter describes it:
"Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister."
