The print of the shorts are just as it looks on the photo and the mesh lining is similar to (female) swim shorts in that it's shaped like underwear. I thought the mesh lining would line the entire shorts so it caught me off guard. It is comfortable to wear once I exchanged the shorts to a bigger size.
My one complaint is the pockets. They are deep, so that's not the problem. Instead it's the angle of the pocket opening. The angle is too steep, much closer to a vertical line than a horiztonal line. When I slide my hands into the pockets, the pocket opening presses against my arms and it hurts. And because of the steep angle, it also feels awkward to have my hands at the angle needed to slide them in in the first place.
I think I exchanged the shorts for the XXL size (currently away from them). The XL fit me but there was an obvious tightness when my hands were in the pockets and when I sat down. The larger size is more comfortable, but there's still anlittle bit of tightness if my hands are in the pockets. I'm 200 lbs.
