Not Anime! Not CGI! Incredible New Photos of the Lifesize Gundam
The recently unveiled life-sized and motorized Mobile Suit Gundam at the Gundam Factory Yokohama has gotten a good amount of international media coverage so far, and for good reason. Japan has finally built a working giant robot inspired by a classic anime.
And while you can find pictures and videos aplenty online of the new attraction, it’s only now that a truly talented shutterbug has brought out the best in this 59-foot-tall representation of the RX-78 Gundam.
Twitter user @hiro_cameras created a buzz the other day when he posted his stunning images of the life-sized Gundam. We bet you’ll need to do a double take to figure out if what you are looking at it real and how he did it!
Here’s hoping that once the tourist trade to Japan picks up again that more people can see the real thing for themselves.
